Ioan SURDU graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, “Gh. Asachi” Polytechnic Institute of Iași, and holds a PhD in Animal Science from the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest.

Coordinator of research programs at INCE/CE-MONT, in the field of systems engineering in automation; PhD in Animal Science, specialized in farm animal nutrition.

Fields of interest: systems engineering, animal nutrition, bioeconomy, mathematical modeling and experimental analysis in life sciences.

Over 25 years of experience in designing and developing software applications for calculating and optimizing feed rations for farm animals, mathematical modeling of metabolic processes in farm animals, statistical analysis, data processing and interpretation, experimental analysis, as well as database design, development, and maintenance.
