“Viața Munților” is the information newspaper of the CE-MONT Center for Mountain Economy.
The publication is edited by the CE-MONT Center for Mountain Economy, part of the “Costin C. Kirițescu” National Institute for Economic Research of the Romanian Academy, and is published quarterly.
“Viața Munților” presents research, analyses, public policies, local initiatives, and examples of good practice relevant to mountain areas in Romania and Europe. The publication is intended for mountain communities, researchers, public authorities, professional organizations, and all those interested in the sustainable development of mountain areas.
The topics covered include mountain economy, agriculture and mountain products, rural development, tourism, protection of natural resources, cultural heritage, climate change, and European policies dedicated to mountain territories.

Issue 24 highlights the strategic partnership between the National Agency for Mountain Areas and the Centre for Mountain Economy (CE-MONT), European perspectives on the future of mountain agriculture and pastoralism, research on the absorption of European funds, ecosystem services in the Dornelor Basin, and the relationship between soils and spontaneous flora.
