Fields of interest: Structure and dynamics of forest ecosystems, dendrochronology and dendroclimatology, paleoclimatology, timberline forest dynamics, risk assessment of biotic and abiotic stress factors in mountain forest ecosystems, use of UAV techniques in monitoring forest ecosystem condition.

Expertise: Dendrochronological series networks, dendroclimatic models for main forest species, natural disturbance dynamics in mountain forest ecosystems, windthrow risk mapping, modeling of structure and dynamics of mountain forest ecosystems, application of remote sensing and UAV techniques in forest ecosystem assessment.
